Manage Pain Naturally

Would you like to find a simple way to get rid of your pain? Do you dislike visits to the doctor and taking pills?

Pain is something we can't avoid. We can't avoid it, but we can take steps to relieve or even cure it if we have the right knowledge and tools.

For a lot of people, taking expensive medication with possible unpleasant side-effects is not an option. Or they feel that surgery is not an option.

The good news is that you can often deal with some of the more common pain problems effectively in natural, easy ways.

How do I know this? Well, I'm not a medical professional, just an ordinary person who found that natural methods could often help where more conventional treatments could not. (Please remember, though, that your doctor's advice is very important, and that it's essential to consult a medical professional before you make any decisions about your health! )

So, what are these other ways to manage pain? There are a whole lot to choose from, and there isn't space here for all of them, so we'll only look at a few. But this should give you an idea of what the possibilities are, and what you can look for.

Trigger Point Therapy (Myofacial Therapy)

This method has helped me the most in dealing with my own pain problems. You can use this method to relieve something as minor as a headache or to help relieve a condition as painful as backache. In fact, it can often help for any chronic muscle pain, or for unexplained aches and stiffness.

A trigger point is a small, tender nodule in a taut band of muscle that "triggers" a painful response when pressed, and often also causes "referred pain" in other parts of the body.

For a more detailed explanation of trigger points, you should visit Save Yourself, where the author says that "Learning even a little about trigger points can solve more pain problems more easily than anything else I know of".

And the best thing about this is that in most cases, you can treat yourself in your own home! You can also find full instructions on how to do this here

Vitamin Supplements

Maybe you already take take vitamin supplements for general good health, but did you know that there are vitamins and minerals that really help for specific types of pain?

Vitamin B

You can find products with specific combinations of vitamins B1, B6 and B12 which are often used in treating pain caused by inflammation or irritation of a nerve, and for musculoskeletal pain syndromes.

One example of this is lower back pain. According to the research, vitamins B1, B6, and B12 can help to relieve lower back pain, not only because they help to heal inflamed nerves, which is one of the causes of lower back pain, but also because they help strengthen and nourish your nerves, and so help to prevent further damage.

Another example is sciatic pain. For many years I have personally used a product containing 100mg of B1, 200mg of B6 and 1200mcg of B12 to treat this type of pain. I take 1 tablet three times a day for 3 days, and the pain is gone!

Vitamin D

A lack of vitamin D intake is thought to contribute to muscle, bone, or joint pain, and a new clinical study has shown that having excessively low levels of vitamin D might play an important role in fibromyalgia. So, if you have this type of problem, you should perhaps consider taking vitamin D supplementation.

This has been a short introduction to ways that you can manage pain without taking strong medication or undergoing surgery. Hopefully, it has inspired you to dig further and find out more about other options for treating pain yourself.

I wish you a happy pain-free life!
